    The screen freezes and dims. A magnifier shows the exact pixel under the cursor, so edges land where you mean them to.

    It's already copied

    The image is on your clipboard and saved as a PNG. A preview sits in the corner for ten seconds. Drag it straight into an email or a chat.

    Click Annotate to add arrows, boxes, text and numbered steps. Press Ctrl+C and paste the marked-up version.

1  Eleven tools

Arrow, rectangle, ellipse, line, pen, highlighter, text, numbered steps, pixelate and crop, plus select-and-move. Single keys switch tools: A, R, T, N.

2  PixelatePRO

Hide account numbers, emails and keys. Pixelation sits under your arrows and text, so it never covers your own marks.

3  Text that stays readable

Labels get a contrasting outline, so they read on white pages, dark apps and photos alike.

4  Copy or save

Ctrl+C copies the marked-up image. Ctrl+S saves over the original, Save as picks PNG or JPEG.

Place numbered steps in order and they label themselves 1, 2, 3. Ideal for how-to guides and bug reports.

Press Ctrl Shift 5 to record a region, or Ctrl Shift 6 for the whole screen. Press it again to stop. You get an MP4 next to your screenshots.

The control bar and the outline around the recording area are hidden from the video. Pause, resume, or throw a take away and start over.

Questions

Does Snapo upload my screenshots?

No. Everything is saved to a folder on your PC, Pictures\Snapo unless you pick another. There's no account and no cloud storage.

Do I need to be online?

No. The only download is the English text-recognition data, the first time you use Copy text.

Does it work with several monitors?

Yes, including monitors with different scaling. The picker covers every screen and captures each at its native resolution.

Can I move Pro to a new PC?

Yes. Remove the key under License on the old PC and paste it on the new one.

Why does Windows warn me about the installer?

Version 0.1.0 isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC". Choose More info, then Run anyway.

Is there a Mac version?

Not yet. Snapo is built for Windows 10 and 11.

How do I uninstall it?

Like any other Windows app, from Settings › Apps. Step-by-step instructions are below.

Uninstall Snapo

Snapo uninstalls like any other Windows app. Nothing keeps running afterwards.

    Quit Snapo

    Right-click the Snapo icon in the notification area, next to the clock, and choose Quit Snapo. If you don't see it, click the ^ arrow to show hidden icons.

    Open the app list

    Windows 11: Settings › Apps › Installed apps. Windows 10: Settings › Apps › Apps & features. You can also right-click Snapo in the Start menu and choose Uninstall.

    Uninstall

    Find Snapo, select ⋯ (Windows 11) or the app itself (Windows 10), then Uninstall and confirm. This removes the app, its shortcuts and the Start with Windows entry.

What stays on your PC

Your screenshots and recordings

They're your files, so they stay in Pictures\Snapo or the folder you chose. Delete them yourself if you don't need them.

Settings and your Pro license

Kept in %APPDATA%\Snapo so Pro still works if you reinstall. To remove everything, paste that path into File Explorer's address bar and delete the folder.

Moving Pro to another PC?

Remove the key under License before you uninstall, then paste it on the new PC.
