Privacy Policy

Snapo is a screenshot and screen recording app for Windows. This policy covers the Snapo app and the snapo.io website. The short version: the app doesn't collect anything about you, and your captures never leave your PC.
The Snapo app
- Screenshots and recordings are saved only to a folder on your PC (Pictures\Snapo unless you choose another). Snapo never uploads them.
- No account, analytics or tracking. The app doesn't send usage data, crash reports, device identifiers or advertising IDs, and it shows no ads.
- Settings and your license key are stored on your PC in %APPDATA%\Snapo. License keys are checked on your PC, without contacting a server.
- Copy text (Pro) reads text on your PC. The first time you use it, Snapo downloads a public English language file from a public content delivery network. That request contains no information about you or your screenshots, though, like any web request, it reveals your IP address to that network.
- Microphone, computer audio and webcam are used only while you are recording, and only if you turn them on. Audio and video go into the recording file on your PC.
The website
- The website has no analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
- If you arrive from an ad, campaign parameters in the link (such as utm_source) are kept in your browser for that visit and added to the download link, so we can count which campaigns lead to downloads. They're stored in your browser session only, not in a cookie.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages or files requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Email
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply. We don't sell or share it.
Children
Snapo isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date above.
